Troubleshooting

  1. My Single RAM (Vertical Piston) is less than 5.25 inches and does NOT fit. This is due to activated “Trim Limiter Setting”. An easy way to check is to see if you can NOT engage the maintenance latch located near the upper engine bracket on the side of the outboard. These are the ways to fix this issue.
  • Go to local dealer or mechanic to have adjusted.
  • Cut modification can be completed UP to 1.00 inches on TS-Block
  • Cut modification can be done simply with hack saw
  • NOTE: Measure twice and cut once

  1. The engine/ outboard is “Too HIGH” off the ground. I want it to be lower to the ground.
  • Cut modification can be completed UP to 1.00 inches on TS-Block
  • Cut modification can be done simply with hack saw
  • NOTE: Measure twice and cut once

Removal

  • TILT Outboard UP to highest position
  • Apply Downward Pressure to release rubber tapered end from upper T-Bracket (NOTE: Your first compression will appear that the TS-Block is stuck in place, however this is normal with the first compression. To release from this position grab TS-Block and push (left/right) while applying downward pressure. This will release the rubber from the T-Bracket). Your 2nd compression will release much easier and will not require this release method.

  2. DO NOT leave TS-Block compressed on Single RAM piston for extended periods of time (Memory will occur after approximately (3-5 days) depending on heat conditions.
